Rutherglen is a small town located in the north-eastern part of the state of Victoria, Australia. It is situated approximately 275 km from the state capital, Melbourne, and 45 km from the regional city of Albury-Wodonga.
The town has a rich history, dating back to the 1850s when it was established as a gold mining town. Today, it is known for its wine production, and in particular, for its fortified wines such as Muscat and Tokay.
